When you arrive for the initial consult with x-rays and MRIs, we listen to you, conduct a thorough examination of your knee, help you understand the dysfunction and its source, and then discuss options for improvement. Correlating your history with examination findings and a review of MRIs and x-rays is the key to accurate diagnosis. With the correct diagnosis, then accurate and precise treatment options can be described.

Frequently with a combination of modification of certain activities, specific physical therapy, and trails of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication may achieve resolution of this dysfunction therefore returning to the activity of what you wish to do. A majority of patients do not need surgery. At times with no significant improvement from these more conservative treatments, the option of surgery maybe discussed.
